The Clock Work Wanderer

Hello,
I’m Jocelyn Cuddy, the voice behind The Clock Work Wanderer. This blog is my way of sharing the stories of the places I’ve been and memories I've made. I’ve always felt a pull to wander. But it wasn’t until I was 21 that I truly started seeing the world outside every corner of New York I could find. My first international trip was to Polperro, a quiet village from The Dark Artifices, and it changed everything. It was as if the pages of a book had come to life, and I found myself part of a bigger story.

Since that first journey, I’ve found pieces of myself in every city I’ve visited. From the wild, untamed beauty of Iceland to the cobbled streets of Prague, where I once called home, each adventure has shaped who I am. But it’s not just the destinations that have drawn me in—it’s the experiences that feel like they were meant to happen. The quiet mornings in a campervan, waking up to a world that’s all yours for the taking. The moments spent getting lost in nature, with no agenda but to simply be. And of course, sharing these adventures with my girlfriend, Isabela, who has been by my side through it all. We’ve built a life out of these travels, and there’s a certain kind of magic in discovering new places, together.

I’m part of the LGBTQ+ community, and for me, travel has always been about more than just visiting new places. It’s about creating space for love, freedom, and authenticity. It’s about finding joy in the small, quiet moments, and safety in the unknown.

This blog is my way of holding onto the places I’ve been and sharing them with others, not just as a guide, but as a reminder that the world is full of stories waiting to be discovered. I want this space to be a resource for anyone who dreams of seeing the world with fresh eyes, and a place where you can find inspiration to wander, explore, and connect with the beauty around you.

Thank you for being here, for sharing in the journey with me. I hope these stories inspire you to take your own adventure, wherever it may lead.
